About Playsheet

playsheet (Alpha)

playsheet is a MIDI piano learning app. Import any MusicXML, MIDI, or ABC sheet music, plus MuseScore files, and practice with real-time feedback. Import quality varies by file.

playsheet is currently alpha. It is developed by a single developer who wanted to learn piano. The app may contain bugs, and features may change without notice. Ranking algos are likely to change, and some data may be wiped on transition to full release.

It is completely free, and the developer intends all the features you see today to remain that way. Simplification, audio transcription, and Alpha PDF recognition are experimental. They can miss notes, rhythms, and voices, so compare the result with your source before practicing. Score conversion is designed to run in your browser; optional online features require a connection. More capable processing has costs that are difficult to offer for free. A freemium credit system may be considered in the future.

Keeping Your Data

Unless you explicitly sign up and upload to cloud, all data exists in your local browser IndexedDB. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or browser storage eviction can remove local files and progress. Export important scores as backups.
