playsheet is a MIDI piano learning app. Import any MusicXML, MIDI, or ABC sheet music and practice with real-time feedback.
playsheet is currently alpha. It is developed by a single developer who wanted to learn piano. The app may contain bugs, and features may change without notice. Ranking algos are likely to change, and some data may be wiped on transition to full release.
It is completely free, and the developer intends all the features you see today to remain that way. The currently shipped simplification algorithm, along with audio to sheet music are incredibly simple. A majority of this was designed to run locally on your machine. More capable models exist, but the compute resources required are prohibitive to offer for free as we are not a VC funded money hole. Perhaps a freemium credit system will be implemented at some point.
Unless you explicitly sign up and upload to cloud, all data exists in your local browser IndexedDB. This may be wiped whenever your browser feels like it.
