Most piano resources are useful on their own. The hard part is knowing what to do next. This guide turns the original sight-reading chart into one practical path from beginner reading to intermediate playing.

Pick one main course. Work through one section at a time. Use the videos for explanation and the PlaySheet pieces for actual practice.

Major and minor triads.
Root, third, fifth, and basic inversions.
Tonic, dominant, simple cadences, and common chord symbols.

Take a simple progression such as C, Am, F, G. Play roots, then block triads, then inversions, then a broken-chord pattern. The same progression should feel usable in several ways.

Move on when

triads look like shapes and you can play a simple melody over chord symbols without losing the beat.
